Movie

The Thursday Night Ladies That Have Husbands At Meetings met tonight. We went to see "In Her Shoes" I thought it was going to be really sleazy. But it was really a pretty good movie. I laughed, I cried, I ate too much popcorn. It was great.
Love to you all.

Faith and Flowers

Faith is spending three days (not full days, just part of each day) planting daffodils, in the hopes of having flowers to give to the women that you visit teach in the Spring.
Love to you all.

Holidays

I know it seems like I'm rushing things but I'm trying to get my Christmas shopping done. I want to get it done before I go to Atlanta. I have some really good ideas for Loradona and Jeanette, but Clifford and Richard are hard.
Any suggestions people?
Speaking of holidays I am going to be all by my self on Halloween. Richard is going to Tennessee on Sunday. I will have to hand out candy to the kiddies by my self. I think I will rent a really funny movie for that night. I say funny not scary because I'm a wus (is that how you spell that?) when I'm at home a lone. Any suggestions there?
Love to you all.

Email

I need to do something about the amount of SPAM I get. I get about 30 unwanted pieces of email a day. Some days that is the only mail I get, so I guess I shouldn't complain. At least I get SOME mail.
Any suggestions?
Love to you all.

Update

I realize that I did not update you all on the toilet thing.
Monday morning I called Reedville Plumbing and left a message. Then I called Mr. Rooter and they said it might be today, but probably tomorrow. "Do you NEED one today?" "Yes" I reply. "Well we'll see what we can do".
Shortly there after Reedville Plumbing called back. After taking my info she says she will have to call me back after she talks to the plumbers.
In the mean time I have called my tennis partner to say I'm not sure when/if I be playing tennis today. I called my mom and said I'm not sure when/if I can take her shopping.
R.P. calls back and says "Can someone come by in the next half our?" "Yes!" I eagerly reply. About 20 minutes later the gentleman comes knocking on my door. 45 minutes later I am $160 poorer, but a lot happier, because now I have a non leaking toilet.
I am able to go play tennis, take my mom shopping. All is good. And we all lived happily ever after.
The end (until the next time).
Love to you all.

Visiting Teaching with Children

I think if you ARE going to bring children with you when you go Visiting Teaching you should bring one. No more. There are ways to trade babysitting that make it so you do not have to take ALL of your children with you.
Where does it say in the Church handbook that you need to take your children EVERYWHERE you go?
Today I had someone come to my house with their three children. The slinkys are (were) on the bottom shelf of the bookcase. After playing tug-of-war with a couple of the slinkys the mom finally took them away and I put them higher on the shelf. They then proceeded to play tug-of-war with Chuck. Luckily for Chuck, the mom ended that one quickly. I said "You can play with him, but you have to play nice". Then the mom said "If one of them has it the other one wants it. So it is best that they don't play with it". No taking turns. No sharing.
Maybe I'm getting old. But I don't remember my kids acting like that.
Clifford, if you should read this, have a safe trip to New Orlens.
Love to you all.

Bike Ride

I went on my bike ride today. I rode up to the Bennett's. I then talked to Kaleen for a while and proceeded to ride down to the park where I ate my lunch. It was fun, but I'm a little tired.
Yesterday I played tennis and my game was REALLY on. I wish I could play that well all of the time. I wish I could play more often. I thought about taking a tennis class through THPR, but it is really hard to get into those classes.
I could enter a triathlon. Biking, Tennis and...eating! :)
Love to you all

Girls, we should talk about Clifford. He doesn't come here, so we can talk about him ;)

Okay, things are maybe looking up

I am back on my Mac. Yeah! I don't know what was wrong, but it is working now.
All of the things I had planned to do on Monday are going to have to be side lined. I am going to be calling a plumber and probably waiting around for him (or her) to show up.
Why can't we just take a stick of dynamite to the bathroom and start over? Okay, so there are a few things I want to take out (Teryl's glass things) before I blow it up. But not a lot. It would be so fun. Oh well.
Love to you all.

Frustrating Day

The tolit is leaking. I wanted to order some things from the catalog and they were (mostly) unavailable. I couldn't write in my blog because it wouldn't work on my Mac.
You get the idea.
I am now on Richard's computer.
I don't know if I will ever be able to do this on my Mac again, how sad.
On the up side. We saw Wallace and Gromit last night. Great movie! If you have not seen it you should go right away. Now! Go!
Love to you all.

Paranoia Strikes

Okay, I am pretty sure that the only person reading this (besides me) is Loradona. But, what if all these people have stumbled on to it and I don't know it. And they are reading my blog but just not commenting or any thing. Kind of weird to think about.
Well, if you are reading this and not commenting I just want to say "Hi"
Love to you all.

The Book of Mormon

When I first heard the challenge by Pres. Hinkley to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year I started reading. But then I got discouraged that I wasn't able to read fast enough. But then Conference came and all the talk about reading it made me think I just need to DO IT. At one point in the Conference after Pres. Hinkley had spoke I thought "I just love that man. I would do anything he asked. Then why am I now reading the Book of Mormon like he asked?" So needless to say I am reading madly. I know I can do it too.
Love to you all.

The Doctor Visit

My mom went to the doctor today. Her main question "Can I fly to Atlanta in December?". Her doctor's answer "Yes, absolutely". He then went on to tell her to make sure she arranged for a wheel chair at the airport etc. but that it shouldn't be a problem.
I need to wrap my head around this and be happy about it. I know that she is excited to be able to go to Clifford's graduation. After all it is not everyday we get a rocket scientist in the family. I also need to forget about this trip being any kind of vacation for me. It will not.
From this moment on I am going to be happy and excited that she is able to come. As a grandmother it gives her bragging rights.
Loradona says that I need to write here more often. She may be sorry that she said that :)
Love to you all.

The Helvatia Tavern

The Heslops, Richard and I went to the Helvatia Tavern last night. The hamburgers were really good. But I have to say the french fries were the best I've ever had. The onion rings were good too, but those french fries...mmmmm.
Love to you all.

Loradona, I think you and I are the only ones that ever see this ;)
