Self Assessment

Things I've decided:
* I should excersise EVERY day. Because I really do feel better. Not just physically but emotionally too.
* I need to stop with the negative vibs. They will only make me old and bitter. Any advice to help me quit thinking negative thoughts would be appreciated.
I rode my bike to work today and I'm excited that I don't have anyone to rescue me if it is raining after work. I will just have to take what comes.
Right now it is quite at work - which is why I can write this.
On another note, I am so silly. While writing this there was a word that I couldn't remember how to spell. I was trying different spellings and none of them seemed right. Then all of a sudden I thought "What am I doing, I work in a bookstore. We have dictionaries." So, I got out a dictionary and looked up the word. I do LOVE working at a bookstore.
Love to you all.

The Good the Bad and...

I have to go to work today. I would rather stay home and be here when Loradona comes home. But the good news is that Loradona is coming home :)
As far as barely above minimum wage jobs go, this one isn't so bad. I just wish I could have more control over my schedule. Like I could take a day off without EVERYBODY'S schedule being all messed up. I wish I could go in at say 6am some days and work my 8 hours and then be done. You can't do that in retail. The store is only open from 10 to 6. But that is the good part, it isn't open in the evening and it is closed on Sunday. So, that is a good thing.
I am done whining.
LORADONA IS COMING HOME!
Love to you all.

Elizabeth Pearl Greenwood

On Sunday night, not quite 4 year old Betsy died. Her last words were "I love you" to her parents. She died in her fathers’ arms. And went into the arms of another Father.
I prayed for a miracle, I still believe in miracles, but it wasn’t to be this time. I can’t imagine losing a child. Her parents are so strong, I’m not sure I am that strong. I hope I never have to know if I’m that strong.
One story that her father told at the funeral: One day they were coming home from church and he asked her "Betsy Pearl how was church". Betsy responded, "I not Betsy Pearl, I Betsy Sunbeam".
Love to you all.

Yeah Me!

I decided to ride the bike for 15 minutes to see how far I got. At the 15-minute mark I was at T.V. Hwy and I figured why not just go the whole way to the bookstore, so I did. I think I am going to plan to ride the bike to work for the first time on Saturday the 19th, that way Richard can pick me up after work if it is too dark.
Love to you all.

Who needs sleep? Well, you're never gonna get it...

I woke up this morning at 3:45. I laid there thinking (my brain was WAY more awake than I was) until 4:00 and I got up. I wrote the two notes that my brain said that I needed to write and sent some emails and now I am waiting for my brain to let me go back to bed.
Luckily today I don't have to go to work.
Love to you all.

Fun Stuff

We had our "missionaries over tonight. It was a lot of fun, but boy am I tired!
I made a four course dinner. First was the antipasto (appetizers); then was the soup (minestrone); then the main dish that included green beans with garlic and a killer salad that rivaled Olive Garden (or anywhere else for that matter); and of course lasagna. Then we had dessert, which was a platter that included grapes, oranges, cheese and Milano cookies. A regular feast!
The only problem is we have enough to eat for a week. Those girls did not eat very much. By the way, our "missionaries" were Heather (brand new Beehive) Lewis and Shannon Jones. They even taught us a lesson.
A fun time was had by all.
Love to you all.

Busy Day

I've got the lasagna done, ready to bake. I got the tires pumped up on Teryl's bike. I rode about 10 or 15 minutes, mostly because of time constraints, but I do realize that I need some serious training to be able to ride to work. Tomorrow I will have more time. I think I will ride toward work for about 15 minutes and see how far I get and then come home.
I still have to get ready (shower etc) for my doctor appointment and finish getting ready for our "missionaries", clean the house, a kingdom to run, a wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it.
Oh, well I DID say that it was a busy day.
Love to all.

Auuuggg!

I can't believe that my brother is such a putz! I finally got Mom talked into a will and he calls her and says he doesn't like it. He doesn't like that I am the "Personal Representative". He even said that his brother-in-law cheated his wife out of stuff. I'm assuming that he thinks I will do the same. THAT'S why there is a will, for heaven's sake!
He's calling tonight and we are going to discuss it. Basically I am going to tell him that if he wants to change it go right ahead. If someone else is the Personal Representative they will charge the Estate, I won't. I am DONE with it.

The Blazers

The Trial Blazers fired Maurice Cheeks. Not that I care that much, the Blazers are just a bunch of overpaid spoiled brats if you ask me. But I read an article that I thought was really good.

Thank you to Ben! http://www.livejournal.com/users/themabbi/
Stupid Blazers!

Food

I hate food! I wish I just didn't have to ever eat, or get hungry.

Endorphins

When do endorphins kick in? Aren't they supose to make you feel like you have been smoking something? A kind of high? When I am done at the gym all I feel is hot and sweaty and sometimes a little sore. Blah!

A New Resolve

I called Kaleen today and we are going to start going to the gym together. We are going to go tomorrow at 8:30 am. Yeah for us! She hasn't been going and I've only been so so. I am excited that I have a partner. Not only a partner, someone I like and get along with.
In other news we are having an activity at Church on Friday. It is a MidEvil Times activity. Last year they had it late enough that Jeanette and Clifford got to joust. It is sad that they will not get to joust this year.
For FHE last night Richard and I (mainly me) made a family crest. It has four sections: 1. a stalk of wheat, representing all our ancestors that were farmers. 2. Boots, some ancestor of Richards was a shoe maker. 3. A castle, for all our royal lines and 4. Music notes because both sides have a lot of musical talent. It also has a plaid banner that says "I hope in God" across the top. It was fun, but I still have some stuff to do to it.
Well, off to the post office and the craft store.
Love to y'all.
